Mint Installing Nvidia drivers by bumblebee to show the second monitor

在T420S上我沒辦法使用nvidia driver經由display port輸出畫面至我的外接螢幕：

先在終端機輸入下列指令查T420S內使用的nvidia devices

ubuntu-drivers devices

sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall

我的只有 NVM4200（顯卡）。

在終端機裡下這兩行指令，把所有的nvidia driver全刪除乾淨。

sudo apt-get remove --purge nvidia-*
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

然後鍵入下列指令

sudo prime-select nvidia

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bumblebee/stable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install bumblebee bumblebee-nvidia

重開機後，我的 nvidia X settings就可以用了，直接在登入畫面時就輸出顯示畫面到我的外接螢幕。爽！！！！！！！！！！！！！

I am distro-hopping from Arch to Mint

I am distro-hopping from Arch to Mint. It's cause of my laptop ThinkPad T420S has Displayport to output the Monitor, and it seems to manage by nvidia GF119. Using Arch to solve the monitor switch problem is not easy to fix. I try many, not only TP's fail but also nvidia's driver is too difficult to install correct.

So, I decide to use Mint or lubuntu to make this problem not to happen.

It is a bad solution to install nvidia-optimus, but it can be free from this FK problem immediatly.

Now it is work on my TP correctly, maybe. I don't want to check this problem in these days.

EndeavourOS(Arch Linux) can not lock the Server DB when use the pacman -Syyy

Using pacman to update all sw, than show the next problem.

Solved:

sudo rm /var/lib/pacman/db.lck

Plz reinstall the package followed:

gst-plugins-base: HTML5 OGG videos support
gst-plugins-good: HTML5 H264 and WebM videos support
gst-libav: HTML5 H264 videos support

Restart midori, it will be worked with your own pc.

How to manage your Arch default Apps.

install xdg-utils
use the xdg-mime

Determine a file's MIME type:

$ xdg-mime query filetype photo.jpeg

image/jpeg

Determine the default application for a MIME type:

$ xdg-mime query default image/jpeg

gimp.desktop

Change the default application for a MIME type:

$ xdg-mime default feh.desktop image/jpeg

Ventoy USB iso

Ventoy-製作 USB開機碟的軟體

目前版本：1.0.46

以在下目前使用 Arch為例，目標 USB碟為 /dev/sdb：

安裝：下載並解tar後，到新增加的目錄下 /home/faiz/Downloads/ventoy-1.0.46

sudo sh Ventoy2Disk.sh { -i | -I | -u } /dev/sdb

-i：預設 USB碟沒有裝過 Ventoy各版本，有裝過的話會跳 error。

-I：不管 USB碟有啥東西，寫入就對了！

-u：升級你的 Ventoy版本。

-----------------我又是分隔線------------------
懶人操作法：

sudo sh Ventoy2Disk.sh -I -g /dev/sdb

-g：把 USB碟作成 GPT格式

預設是 MBR，安裝有沒有影響，我不知道，我都是用 GPT的。

後悔的話，需要安裝 parted來重新恢復上一動。

-----------------你沒看錯我是分隔線------------ lsblk，你會發現 USB碟會被分成 /dev/sdb1和 /dev/sdb2。 /dev/sdb1：你丟 linux的 iso的地方。 /dev/sdb2：Ventoy的系統目錄 sudo mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt 你就可以放一堆 linux iso檔了。(Windows 的 iso也可以同時放入。) 自動按 iso檔名順序生成選單目錄。 ----------------分隔線還是會出來的------------ 你還是要用 VM試一下你的 USB開機碟有沒有做成功的，臉黑的話自行保重。

How to install paru?

Paru is an new Arch AUR tools to installing non-official ver. program into your systom. It is very easy to install and can replace off the old yay.

To install paru, open your terminal and type the following commands one by one.

sudo pacman -S --needed base-devel

git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/paru.git

cd paru

makepkg -si

When you check the all update or upgrade of program in Arch, just type...

paru

and type your sudo password then press the Enter. Paru will do it for you automatic.

extract files by using unrar

unrar is an file extract software in linux world.

Install in Archlinux.

sudo pacman -S unrar

paru -S unrar

How to use it?

Changing the directory to where you put your .rar file. Then key in the command "unrar e *.rar". Entering the command, and your .rar file is extracted.

How To Pairing Filco Minila Bluetooth Version Keyboard in Arch Linux by manual

菜鳥再次挑戰 Arch Linux3-Filco Minila

因為不是安裝教學文，所以就籠統地寫一下自己在使用 Arch Linux時遇到的問題。

先寫心得：

1.Filco Minila是把好鍵盤，但是藍芽pair速度也是慢。

2.如果可以，再接一把usb鍵盤！(XD)

3.使用DE的可以跳過。

來吧！越級打怪吧！

開個terminal

安裝一下藍芽管理員 sudo pacman -S bluez bluez-utils

找一下你目前的藍芽模組，至於為什麼藍芽模組叫 btusb，嗯…我也不知道

lsmod | grep btusb

btusb 69632 0

btrtl 28672 1 btusb

btbcm 20480 1 btusb

btintel 32768 1 btusb

bluetooth 749568 38 btrtl,hidp,btintel,btbcm,bnep,btusb,rfcomm

以上是我的x230找到的模組。

如果發生杯具，你打完這個指令沒有看到 btusb？

那就 modprobe btusb手動載入吧…

接著 sudo systemctl start bluetooth.service

再來 sudo systemctl enable bluetooth.service

廢話不多說，你就會發現沒有刻意去查 systemctl status，完全不知道你的os到底開了

什麼service------>本句就是廢話。

bluetoothctl

power on 打開bluetoothctl，預設是 off。

agent on 開工抓一下。

default-agent 以後開機都不用再玩這個動作，自動連接到你信任的藍芽裝置。

scan on 掃一下電腦目前連接到的藍芽裝置

我的電腦找到一個藍芽裝置，2C:D0:5A:1C:F9:7E是這個裝置的 mac address

但這樣你還是不知道這個裝置係蝦…

devices

--此行以下是os執行畫面

Device 00:18:00:3A:B9:D4 FILCO Bluetooth Keyboard

找到這個藍芽裝置，並且顯示出這個裝置係蝦…

再來trust它

trust 00:18:00:3A:B9:D4

我就把 Minla成功設為藍芽ctl認知的藍芽設備了。

再來就是藍芽配對了：

pair 00:18:00:3A:B9:D4

然後會給你一個 Passkey

Passkey：171661(六碼，我亂打的，按照你看到的號碼輸入。

如果你跟我一樣用 Minila，它按下背後 connect鍵後，給你的連接時間非常短。而你要

配對成功，要先喚醒 Minila，再去打 Passkey，常常不成功。這就不知道為什麼 Minila

要這樣設計 connect時間短，又要喚醒 Minila才能輸入 Passkey，你會搞不清楚是你沒做

好上述動作，還是 Minila的喚醒時間問題。

所以建議再插一個usb KB去 key Passkey，就容易在限時內pair Minila成功。

看到 Pairing successful出現，就代表你出運了。

再來就是 connect 00:18:00:3A:B9:D4

若Connection successful，前面的[]裡就會帶出 Filco Bluetooth Keyborad，此時離結

束就剩下一步了。

可以亂打一下出個字看一下，安慰自己被藍芽裝置惡搞所產生的扭曲心態。

---終於結束了---

scan off--不然會一直掃 devices出 mac address。

來個甜點吧…

sudo vim /etc/bluetooth/main.conf

/AutoEnable=

把#去掉，把預設值由false改成 true。

:wq

FILCO Minila Bluetooth Keyboard US67 Blue Switch version

青軸打鍵音

兩天前在 FaceBook商店看到這把鍵盤出售，價格 2700，我覺得可以接受就買了，這次入手美版比較順手，不會有日版太多特殊鍵位會常按錯鍵的問題，青軸也是一如印象中的大聲，二手的比較有磨合過，不會有新鍵盤按鍵太澀的問題。

Grub timeout set to 30 after upgrade - Lubuntu

Lubuntu 預設 grub選單是 30秒，但是我並沒有其它 OS可選，或者沒有其它要進安裝模式的理由。想要跳過 grub選單的方式：

sudo sh -c 'echo GRUB_RECORDFAIL_TIMEOUT=5 >> /etc/default/grub';
sudo update-grub;

你可以設定 TIMEOUT=5(5就是5秒，我自己是設0）

Arch show zh-tw in the app of GUI -2

在圖形介面中啟用中文 locale

如果是希望在圖形介面有中文環境的話，需要修改 ~/.xinitrc 或 ~/.xprofile，加入

export LANG=zh_TW.UTF-8

啟動中文 locale

在 Arch Linux 中，透過設置 /etc/locale.conf 文件，來設置語系環境。

LANG=en_US.UTF-8

Lubuntu 18.04 system boot problem

sudo rm /var/crash/*

清除 carsh的記錄

sudo vim /etc/default/apport

將檔案內的 enable=1，改成0

打完收工。
